The Incredible Fish Value Machine: Zero Waste from Cod

Nordwell is proud to offer collagen sustainably sourced from cod skin. Not only do we purchase the skin exclusively from MSC-certified fisheries, but we like to think that we are also a crucial link in enhancing the utilization of cod catches in Iceland under the mission statement: "100% Fish Project," run by the Iceland Ocean Cluster.

On average, only about 45 to 50% of cod is utilized. In Iceland, this utilization rate has increased to 90%. We consider us a participant in this endeavor by producing odor and taste neutral marine collagen from cod skin contributing to improved health.
